"Thanks" Where "Thanks" Belongs

To quote one of my favorite artists, Dan McCaw, "Art is a collaboration between the heart and mind in an effort to expose a piece of the artist's soul." I'm not sure about all of that but somewhere between my head and my hand is a place that loves to paint, my heart. I have to give the glory to my Lord, Jesus Christ, and thanks to Him for the ability He's given me, to Nick for his encouragement, to Dan McCaw for his inspiration and my mom, Peggy Pettit, who thinks I can do anything (gotta love those moms!). But, let's leave the exposed soul to the Master, shall we?

This is Sammy. He is a beautiful child.

His mother is also beautiful, inside and out. The moment I met her I felt as if
I had known her forever. Have you ever known that feeling? Bryan, Sammy's dad, fits right in with these two! I feel so blessed to know this sweet family.

As things go, they are moving away from Oklahoma...(I can't talk about...I'll cry) but I wish them the very best....................did someone say "ROADTRIP!"?

(Edith doesn't know I painted this picture...so don't tell her!)

But now I know! "Um, waiter, can you please had us a box of kleenex?" (b/c I'm tearing up right now!) - Seriously, Rhonda, I cannot express to you how grateful and blessed I am to have you in my life. I have a feeling that no matter the distance, we will remain friends for a very long, long time. Bryan and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this most perfect gift. This will only remind me of how beautiful your heart and soul is and how lucky and proud I am to have you as a friend. Love you and miss you already, Edith.
